New protected area in Los Lagos!

Valle Los Ulmos Park is a beautiful place at the foothills of Calbuco Volcano, in the Ensenada area, Los Lagos Region, which has been permanently protected through a new Derecho Real de Conservación (DRC) agreement. It’s a biodiversity hotspot where Community, Conservation, and Science come together. The protection of this over 1400 acres area was formalized alongside the NGO Ranita de Darwin as co-holders, who will be responsible for safeguarding the habitat of amphibians found in the park.
