Tierra Austral signs a new Derecho Real de Conservación in Cantillana mountain range

Through the signing of a new Derecho Real de Conserbación (DRC) in the Águila Sur Ecological Community (Paine, Metropolitan Region) more than 230 hectares of the Mediterranean ecosystem of central Chile will be preserved.

Under this DRC, native and endemic species such as the litre, quillay, peumo, canelo and the lingue, will be protected in perpetuity from threats typical of the central area of the country such as deforestation or the advance of agricultural projects.
