Tierra Austral together with Conaf lead Workshop for the Prevention and Mitigation of Forest Fires

In Chile, 99.7% of fires are caused by humans. For this reason, Tierra Austral together with the National Forestry Corporation held a theoretical and practical conference on the first attack for the prevention and mitigation of these accidents. Representatives of local organizations, companies and landowners from central Chile participated. On the day, in
addition to Conaf, Dr. Lisa Micheli of the Pepperwood Foundation of California (United States) presented her experience in the field and explained the combat mechanisms they have in California to deal with this type of emergency.
