Unprecedented: Over 25,946 acres hectares to be protected in Maule

After over a year of work, the Tierra Austral Foundation managed to consolidate, together with the landowners, the formal and perpetual protection of an area located in the pre-Andes of the Maule Region, in the Los Queñes sector. This milestone is part of the effort of the landowners of this place who have worked for its conservation for over four decades. This new protected area is composed of the Central Chilean Mediterranean ecosystem, the least protected ecosystem in the country.
