Visiting the King Penguin Nature Reserve

The Tierra Austral team visited this valuable private conservation initiative in Porvenir, Magallanes Region, Tierra del Fuego

The @pinguinorey team received us and guided us on our tour in which we were able to visit the home of a colony of more than 140 penguins, unique in South America, which found in the reserve a place to nest, feed and grow protected on the shores of the Strait of Magellan.

In addition to the conservation of the King Penguin, the reserve is dedicated to the conservation of other endemic species, ecotourism and environmental education.
