During a three-day tour, we explored part of the area, which is characterized by the Mediterranean ecosystem and dominated by mountainous landscapes with steep slopes and deep canyons. Among them, the tributaries of the Teno and Claro rivers stand out. The place is a transitional area between different ecosystems of the central and southern regions of the country, which are currently threatened by habitat loss and soil degradation. Species such as the Tricahue parrot, puma, concón, black woodpecker, canelo, lingue, naranjillo, and cypress of the mountain range can be found in this area.
