This new Derecho Real de Conservación (DRC) agreement will protect the environmental properties of more than 230 hectares for the Águila Sur Ecological Community, located in the commune of Paine, Metropolitan Region. The property, totaling 393 ha, forms part of the Cordon de Cantillana, an important zone to protect given its particular relevance in climate change resilience. Through the implementation of this new DRC agreement, over 60% of the property will be perpetually protected, safeguarding the biological diversity of the Mediterranean ecosystem of Central Chile.
