Tierra Austral achieves a new Derecho Real de Conservación agreement in Panquehue

Within the framework of the Boldo Cantillana project, supported by the BHP Foundation, Tierra Austral established a new Derecho Real de Conservación (DRC) agreement on La Giganta hill, Panquehue commune, Valparaíso Region.

In its role as a Land Trust, Tierra Austral signed as the holder of this conservation agreement that will protect 228 hectares of the property in perpetuity, corresponding to the 94% of the total area of the land.

Thus, the establishment of this DRC agreement marks a relevant milestone in the protection of the Mediterranean ecosystem of central Chile, one of the most threatened areas in the country.
